About 31,000 people in Sweden have an origin in Italy (2025). Of them, about 17,000 were born in Italy and 14,000 were born in Sweden to at least one parent from there.
The most people born in Italy live in Stockholm (3,862), Göteborg (1,672) and Malmö (1,365). The largest share of residents is in Solna (0.6%), Lund (0.5%) and Sigtuna (0.4%).
